Cap’n Fish’s Whale Watch

Cap’n Fish’s Cruises is the ORIGINAL Whale Watch in the Mid Coast Maine region and has the most knowledge of whale feeding grounds, whale movement during different times of the season, and where to go for the BEST Whale Watch Experience In Maine. Founded over 80 Years Ago, we have been whale watching far longer than anyone on the Mid Coast.

Travel to Maine’s prime whale feeding grounds to see whales, dolphins, seals, sharks, seabirds, and more!

Also get a tour of the Boothbay Harbor region on the way out and see lighthouses, islands, lobstermen at work, and more.

Narrated by Maine’s top marine biologists, this tour takes place on large ships that are fast, seaworthy and modern.

Bring cameras!

Our Promise

Our team does their best to provide you with a high quality experience and has a long-history of conducting successful trips. However, like all wildlife, whales move around all of the time so we don’t follow the same route for every trip. That means that these cruises may run longer than 3.5 hours, so plan accordingly. If no whales are sighted on YOUR trip, you will receive a standby ticket good for another whale watch or other cruises. Sorry, no refunds. Please see Terms and Conditions.

Vessel Information

  • Vessel Comfort: We have the largest and most comfortable main salon in the region with padded seats and tables. You can relax with food and a drink from our galley, which features a 360-degree view of the outside. Our large open upper deck lets you enjoy the sun and fresh Maine air! Speakers throughout the vessel allow you to hear the narration no matter where you choose to be.

Vessel Information (cont.)

  • Vessel Speed: Cap’n Fish’s has the fastest vessels in the region which provides more time to visit the whales at the feeding grounds.
  • Wheelchairs: We can accommodate manual non-motorized wheelchairs of up to 26″ maximum width.

All cruises subject to attaining minimum passenger count and weather.
